It is important to accumulate further knowledge about individual factors concerning children and their interaction with caregivers, as well as the children’s attitudes toward emotional regulation used by caregivers. This study conducted a three-month nature observation at a day-care center for child D who required emotion regulation when it violated the rules.\nAmong the strategies for emotion regulation employed by caregivers for child D, two patterns were identified, focusing on “distraction.” Examining its effect and role, I was able to confirm the effect of instantaneously\nrebuilding the emotions of child D and encouraging them toward the next form of play.
