The group process as chronological changes across the 12 sessions was examined in terms of the satisfaction rating (maximum 10 points) and the Group Experience Evaluation Points, consisting of 12 items categorized into 6 aspects. The 12 group sessions were found to comprise three developmental phases—initial, evolutional, and final—that could be referenced to the group process theory of Nojima (2011). Although the group progressed, half of the participants considered it ineffective on the Focusing Manner Scale (FMS). The group process could not recognize the three developmental phases; participants with decreased FMS scores had confused experiences during the group sessions.
