The study specifically aimed to clarify how workplace perceptions are associated with the desire to continue working. We also examined whether this association varies depending on positive sentiments towards the workplace, including the intention to continue working in the current work environment and the childhood education profession. We conducted a questionnaire survey with nursery teachers (N = 288) and analyzed the relationship between workplace stressors, workplace perceptions, and the intention to continue working. The results indicated that workplace stressors impact workplace perceptions, and workplace perceptions, in turn, influence the intention to continue working. Notably, the “ interpersonal relationships at the workplace” stress significantly influenced the perception of “ shared workplace identity,” which strongly affected the intention to continue working in the current workplace.
